Jason & I got a puppy. Jason named her Gia, after the crack whore model Angelina played in the movie. LOL.

Slow to update here. So, the first month + in Atlanta has gone by.

The first couple of weeks we had to find a new place to live. Jason's apartment was up in the first week of February.  We found a nice house for rent in Alpharetta, GA.

Went up to see my Grandparents in February. They aren't doing too good.  Both in their mid 80s and they are pretty frail. So my sister and I wanted to get up and visit them before we got into our different school classes (she's teaching, I'm working on my Masters). My grandfather was in a nursing home after battling an infection, and my grandmother was home alone.  She had her niece come visit as well and she was a lot happier to see me, my sister, her fiance, and my little nephew Cole.

So everything went good there, but Heather had a minor babysitting emergency when we were headed back. Her day care provider was having complications with her own pregnancy, and couldn't watch Cole. Heather was in Michigan when she found out, and was starting her new job on Tuesday. I didn't have anything to do for the next few days, so I went ahead and went back with her to watch Cole. It worked out - she had the ability to get her job started teaching, and find a new day care center for Cole.

Anyways, just started school. Liking it so far, but there is a lot of down time between classes. Wish they were every week, but they are intense sessions on alternate Fridays and Saturdays.

Tryin to work out a lot though in the meanwhile. Working out at Lifetime Fittness, and enjoying it. Down about 10 lbs so far.

Tonight is the last night in Vegas. I'm doing a little cleaning in the morning, packing up the clothes in the car, and starting on the road. I should have been done a little bit sooner, but I hope to get out of here by 11:00 am and drive at least 8-9 hours down the road. I hope I get good weather.

All my friends took me out to Gordon Biersch on Tuesday night. Had a great time. Bob & Dave got me a road atlas for my journey. That was cool. I was a little worried, because we all just hang out together at bars (gay & str8). I was worried it would just be "Oh, last night at the bar - Ok, see ya." I guess I was just a little paranoid. But they took me out for a nice dinner, and we all had a good time together. I gave them all my new address and e-mail, and made sure I got theirs in my address book. I'm going to miss these guys. I hope we stay in touch real close, and I get to see them on occasion.

So, tonight though, I went and joined Jason & Dave (two of my best friends) at Buffalo Wild Wings. Here, if you hit a 4-of-a-kind on video poker, during NFL season, you get a parlay card. Winners of that win between $100 - $25. If you won that, then you were in tonight's drawing. 5 drawings for $500, but you couldn't win twice. There were only 7-8 people in the drawing who showed up, and Jason & Dave each won $500. I didn't win anything, but while I was there I played video poker, hit 4 Duces, and won $250. So everyone was happy.

Just for fun, on the way home, I stopped in 7-11. I thought I would get a Diet Dr. Pepper or something. So anyways, I decided to play my favorite video poker game - Triple Play Poker. 3 different hands, and what you hold on the first hand also is held on the 2nd and 3rd. At some point I got dealt a 3 of a kind, or a straight...I don't remember. But I was up to $60. So I decided to play the full max bet, which is 10 coins a hand - a total of $7.50 bet.

Wouldn't u know on my last night in Vegas I hit a fucking ROYAL FLUSH!!!! I won $2500 fuckin dollars!!!

Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahhahaahahahhahahahahahahahahahahahahhahahaha!!!!

God damn. I fuckin love it.

11:30 at night and I should be asleep. As usual, stayed up too late on Fri & Saturday nights, so now I have a lot of energy still. Need to take some Benadryl (same stuff as simply sleep - look it up), but I hate that cause it will make me tired early tomo.

But, I thought I would start on my LiveJournal. I'm hoping to use this to keep up with friends back in Vegas, and make new ones. I'm moving to Atlanta to be with my bf.  He moved to ATL about 9 months ago as his local office here was being closed.  More on that later.

So... Big changes comin.  Moving back closer to family as well,  and leaving my great, high-paying job, in order to go back to school.

I'm excited and very nervous about it. 

That's probably why I can't sleep.
